CENTARA GRAND MIRAGE BEACH RESORT PATTAYA has a new general manager. He is Robert Lohrmann, a U.S. national and holds a bachelor degree in psychology from William Paterson State University in New Jersey. His appointment was announced by Thirayuth Chirathivat, CEO of Centara Hotels & Resorts.
Mr Lohrmann has over 35 years of experience in hotel management and has worked many years internationally for Marriott Hotels. With Marriott, he has held general manager and VP positions in notable properties such as JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, JW Marriott Beijing, Ritz Carlton Hotel Beijing, JW Marriott Seoul, Korea and Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa Hainan, China.
Earlier in his career, Mr Lohrmann also worked with Conrad (Hilton) Hotels in Australia, Disneyland Paris in France and in several large hotels in the U.S. Prior to joining Centara, he was general manager at the Renaissance Zhongshan Park Hotel in Shanghai.
Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya is a five-star beach resort that was designed as the first themed hotel in Thailand, with a Lost World concept set around a water park that leads directly to the beach.
The resort has 555 rooms and suites, all facing the ocean, and features several specialty restaurants, large and versatile convention and meeting facilities, and an award-winning Spa Cenvaree.
