CENTRA COCONUT BEACH RESORT SAMUI has launched a program of nightly activities that include ‘Sundowner Sessions’, ‘Chef’s Favourite Bites’, outdoor movie nights and the resort’s patented “Sabai Thai Parties”.
The resort is located on Thong Tanote Beach, at the southwestern tip of Koh Samui – the “coconut island” itself. The resort offers a choice of stylish rooms overlooking the pool or with complete direct pool access straight from the room, or a more lavish experience within the villas, which are also steps away from the beachfront pool and the powdery sands of the resort’s beach.
The resort has two swimming pools and excellent access to leisure facilities that include spa Cense by SPA Cenvaree. It is a 15-minute drive from Nathon Pier, where ferries disembark from the mainland.
The new nightly ‘Sundowner Sessions’, held on the beach feature a range of fun activities such as instant prizes, volleyball and beach soccer matches as well as other games – from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thai-style tapas and drinks at special prices are served throughout.
There’s also “Chef’s Favourite Bites” at Mix Bistro. Guests have all day to see what the chef has whisked up in the way of fresh seafood, Thai-style soups and snacks and tropical fruit platters to finish.
The “Movies Under the Stars” evenings on the beach run from 7 p.m. through to 10 p.m. Guests can catch the latest blockbusters in the poolside open air cinema, complete with beanbags, drinks and complimentary popcorn nibbles, plus a selection of tapas to go with the action.
The Friday “Sabai Thai Party” kicks off weekly at TIME. Outdoor buffet tables are loaded with a genuine Thai seafood feast, freshly cooked to order. There’s also a selection of alternative main dishes, delicious curries and tropical fruits to finish. Cost – 500 THB per person.
In January, Centara Coconut Beach celebrated the “Thai Rocket Festival” in style on the beach, with a night of Thai culture, cuisine and fun that included an array of barbecued seafood, appetizers, salads and desserts.
