Begin your day with sun salutation at Six Senses

 Six Senses Yao Noi

YOGA AND MEDITATION have many benefits and Six Senses Yoga Master, Dorelal Singh, recommends that we begin our day with sun salutations at least once a week to release stress and bring about calmness and happiness.

This is a series of 12 postures performed in a single, graceful flow. Each movement is coordinated with the breath. Inhale as you extend or stretch, and exhale as you fold or contract.

Sun salutations build strength and increase flexibility. Even on days when you think you have no time for yoga, try to do at least one or two rounds.

Subtle Energies:

Many of us spend time traveling between various times zones and working around the clock, which often affects our sleep. Simple rituals using Subtle Energies therapeutic blends can help you enhance your sleep and improve your well-being in such demanding times.

In the evening, he recommends Six Senses’ Bliss or Pitta blends with its self-massage technique for better sleep and to balance anxiety built up during the day.

“It is equally important to use an energizing blend in the day such as Six Senses’ Rasayana or Kapha blend, leaving you feeling recharged while also helping reverse the effects of jet lag.”

Six Senses’ latest skincare range, Soothe & Enrich, will be launched at selected Six Senses Spas this year, harnesses the power of ancient anti-oxidants such as Coriander, Neem and Brahmi Amla in facial treatments and full skincare post spa regimes.

Anti-oxidants are a must when it comes to protecting your skin from aging caused by free radical damage.

The Organic Pharmacy:

One of the important beauty secrets is skin hydration: Keep your skin hydrated with one of the most effective beauty ingredients – Shea Butter.

“First, nothing in nature is simple and Shea Butter is no exception. Packed full of antioxidants, phyto-chemicals, essential fatty acids and anti-inflammatory steroids Shea Butter is an exceptional beauty secret.”
